Saint Clair Estate Wines is owned by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, viticulture pioneers in Marlborough since 1978. Grapes were originally supplied to local wine companies; however, a desire to extend the quality achieved in the vineyard through to the finished wine led to the establishment of Saint Clair Estate Wines.
Vicar’s Choice Pinot Noir 2011
Vicar’s Choice Pinot Noir is a luscious, medium bodied Pinot Noir with a round palate of red cherry, redcurrant and boysenberry notes which lead through to well-balanced acidity and soft tannins.
Food Suggestions: Best enjoyed with succulent red meat dishes like spring lamb, veal or beef. Dishes with mushrooms also make an ideal accompaniment.
"Cherry and cranberry flavors are quite tart and juicy, smooth on a medium body, with hints of orange zest and herbal tea. A toasty cedar note marks the finish."
